I bought this side harness to use for my second camera. I attach it to the side waist strap of the Cotton Carrier. I wanted to attach a safety line from the camera to me or the carrier. However, the plastic clips for the side harness (which came with the holster) were way too thick to attach to anywhere on my camera. The other attachment option has a thin closed fabric loop on the end. There is not enough width in the loop to allow it to be attached to my camera by feeding the clip through the loop once it is threaded into my camera's strap mount. Your photo shows a large metal ring attached to the side of your camera. Not sure what camera that is but I am sure there aren't many with that sort of attachment. In the end, once I have put the camera in the holster, I feed my camera's strap through one of the harness's shoulder straps. It isn't perfect but it should prevent my camera from falling to the ground if I drop it by mistake. FYI Looping my camera strap over my head didn't work because it wasn't long enough and it interfered with the camera strap of my primary camera which I loop over my head for safety.

This functions exactly as expected, but I did not expect that the extra weight of the camera would have such a pull. I think you would need a very tight belt to keep the body from pulling away from a vertical position. I need to experiment more, or use a lighter load on this, such as binoculars in the CC binocular holder

So I have the G3 harness which came with a side holder addition already, so I was using those for main camera (chest) and binoculars (side). I ended up getting a second camera/lens for certain situations and so I added a second holster to the other side of G3. Works perfectly! What a fantastic system

The Cotton Carrier side holster is very easy to attach to one's belt and nicely secures the camera. It does take bit getting use to making sure you don't bump into people/things while the camera is on your hip., and a bit awkward walking as you can't naturally swing your arm next to your body along the side while the camera is.

Although I've succeeded for a few years with using another brand's belt clip solution for hanging my camera, the Cotton Camera Holster takes it to another level. The Cotton solution is more comfortable, better secured, and distributes the camera and lens weight far better. It makes me wonder why I hadn't switched earlier, but so glad I have now.
