Although the G3 is bulkier, it is not heavy, very comfortable to wear and very supportive for the low back and built as the next generation. I prefer it dramatically over my G2 scout.

I owned one of the original Coton Carriers. I loved it! I also own a Canon 28 - 300 mm, f4.5 - 5.6, EF zoom lens. It is super versital and super heavy! Because of my Coton Carrier I call that lens my "walking around" lens. After about 15 years I managed to break a buckel on my original Carrier and opted for a new one. The design has changed slightly from my original and makes it easier to put on and take off with no loss of its carrying capability. I also am a photographer at one of America's premiere summer music venues and festivals. Without the Carrier I doubt I could still shoot for 3 or 4 hours at stretch, sometimes two shows a day with the required heavy telephoto zooms, without my Coton Carrier - I am 80 this year.

OMG! The harness is a game changer! I have been a surf photographer for 20 years and I am on the go (fast) when shooting, especially with my zoom lenses. This harness offers a high level of comfortability, dependability, and security.

I purchased this product for a backpacking trip and was worried at first about wearing it with a heavy pack. My worries were unfounded. The harness sat comfortably under the straps of my pack and allowed for quick access to shoot pictures even under full load. My only piece of constructive criticism would be to allow more adjustment at the shoulders. I’m big around the chest and I was happy with the fit around my chest, but it sat up a little higher than I would like. But overall very pleased
